Bibra Lake residents urged to go away as hearth spurs emergency warning


An emergency warning is in place for Bibra Lake residents between Progress Drive, North Lake Highway and Bibra Drive as firefighters battle an out-of-control bushfire.

The hearth was first reported about 12.44pm on Tuesday and the Division of Hearth and Emergency Providers warned there was a menace to lives and houses.

Firefighters are on the scene and motorists have been requested to keep away from the world, cut back velocity and drive rigorously resulting from smoke.

North Lake Highway has been closed between Discovery Drive and Phoenix Highway and Bibra Drive is closed to Phoenix Highway.

The hearth is close to the Journey World theme park, and the park has moved folks away from its south aspect resulting from smoke.
