Firefighters responding to a small hearth in a Woodland Hills home discovered a lifeless man inside who was not touched by the flames or smoke, the Los Angeles Fireplace Division stated Monday.
LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange stated firefighters discovered “contents burning in a single room” in a home within the 23200 block of West Victory Boulevard and extinguished the flames by about 2:45 p.m. Monday.
When firefighters searched the house, they discovered the lifeless man, who gave the impression to be in his late 50s, Prange stated.
“The affected person didn’t come into contact with the hearth or smoke,” Prange stated.
Los Angeles police and arson officers are investigating. The hearth didn’t influence the partitions of the house and no different victims had been discovered inside.
Prange stated he couldn’t give details about the place the physique was present in relation to the hearth or his reason for loss of life.
