Disabled man hospitalized by hit-and-run driver in Lincoln Park

A disabled man is hospitalized with severe injures after a hit-and-run driver struck him in Lincoln Park on Tuesday night, police stated. 

The sufferer, a 25-year-old man who makes use of a motorized wheelchair, and his canine have been in a crosswalk at Stockton Drive and Fullerton Avenue when the car struck him round eight:30 p.m., in accordance with a bulletin from CPD’s Main Accident Investigation Unit.

Police stated the person’s wheelchair was struck by a purple four-door Toyota sedan that was touring southbound. In accordance with the bulletin, the motive force didn’t cease after placing the person, and the Toyota continued rushing down Stockton.

CPD didn’t point out if the canine was injured within the crash.
