FIFA bans former prime official Markus Kattner for 10 years


Soccer’s world governing physique FIFA has banned Markus Kattner, a former main official within the Zurich organisation, for 10 years and has fined him a million Swiss francs ($1.5 million) after a probe into bonus funds.

“The adjudicatory chamber of the impartial Ethics Committee has discovered Markus Kattner, former FIFA Deputy Secretary Basic and Appearing Secretary Basic, responsible of conflicts of curiosity and having abused his place, in violation of the FIFA Code of Ethics,” FIFA mentioned in an announcement on Tuesday.

“The investigation into Mr Kattner lined numerous expenses regarding bonus funds in relation to FIFA competitions that had been paid to prime FIFA administration officers (together with Mr Kattner), numerous amendments to and extensions of employment contracts, reimbursement of personal authorized prices, and Mr Kattner’s duties as an official.”
