On head coach Vince Maiorino’s final match as a collegiate head coach, the rifle staff received its 10th straight Huge Apple Championship on Saturday on the Marksmanship Coaching Facility on the campus of John Jay School. The Bloodhounds cruised to a 2241-2097 victory over Maritime School. With the victory, John Jay improves to an ideal Four-Zero in air rifle.
Junior Eliza Kotowska led the way in which for the Bloodhounds firing a match-high rating of 569. Ending in a detailed second was sophomore Michael Hyde with a 560. Senior Ida Sato positioned third for John Jay after recording a rating of 558. Junior Susana Sanchez rounded out the highest 4 as she completed with a 554.
Earlier than the match, the Athletics Division honored four-year senior Sato as a part of Senior Day. As well as, the Athletics Division celebrated the historic profession of coach Maiorino with a farewell breakfast with many alumni in attendance.
