Final witness in Minassian mass homicide trial to complete testimony in the present day

TORONTO — The ultimate witness in Toronto’s van assault trial is predicted to complete testifying in the present day.

Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Scott Woodside says Alek Minassian knew his actions have been morally improper.

Woodside says Minassian actually wished to commit the assault and in addition wished to change into notorious.

The 28-year-old from Richmond Hill, Ont., has pleaded not responsible to 10 counts of first-degree homicide and 16 counts of tried homicide.

The defence argues Minassian needs to be held not criminally answerable for his actions on April 23, 2018, as a consequence of autism spectrum dysfunction.

Minassian’s frame of mind is the only real problem at trial since he has admitted to planning and finishing up the assault.
