Laval police warn native retailers of phone fraud

Laval police are warning native retailers to be cautious of a phone rip-off wherein fraudsters declare to signify a provincial affiliation of firefighters.

The callers say they signify the Affiliation des pompiers du Québec (APQ) and attempt to promote advert area within the group’s journal.

Police mentioned the APQ isn’t soliciting funds and is advising retailers to be cautious about calls for for fee by telephone.

Anybody who suspects they had been duped by the rip-off is urged to name 911.
