 BEIRUT – Lebanon’s International Minister Gebran Bassil mentioned on Friday that the federal government should not impose any new taxes, work to cease corruption and enact long-delayed reforms however warned that mass protests could result in strife.

Addressing calls from protesters for the federal government to resign, Bassil mentioned any different to the present authorities could be far worse.
