Man airlifted to security by army helicopter after falling down KZN cliff


A army rescue helicopter was referred to as in to rescue an injured man who fell and slid about 100m down a cliff in Swayimana, northeast of Pietermaritzburg, on Wednesday.

ER24 paramedics, Life Healthcare, the police’s search and rescue unit and the Durban College of Know-how (DUT) rescue workforce arrived on the scene and instantly began looking the world.

“After a while, the person was discovered close to the underside of the cliff. Regardless of their greatest efforts, medics and rescue personnel had been unable to succeed in the affected person,” stated ER24 in a press release.
