The person hung banners from the awning of the Swarovski constructing as a part of his protest.

A person has been arrested after staging a protest from the awning of a central Auckland jewelry retailer.

For about two hours on Wednesday afternoon, the person sat on the awning of Queen St’s Swarovski retailer.

Stuff understands he was protesting human rights causes in Chile.

He agreed to return down about 2pm after police and firefighters have been referred to as and was arrested in relation to being unlawfully on a constructing, a police spokesman stated.
