A person in his 20s is in hospital after being swept out to sea from rocks at a well-liked seashore in Sydney’s Royal Nationwide Park.
Emergency providers descended on the world surrounding Wattamolla Seashore, discovering the person treading water 350 metres off the coast about three.50pm on Friday, greater than an hour after he was swept into the ocean.

He’s believed to have been fishing off the rocks when he went in about 2.40pm.
Sutherland police, NSW Ambulance helicopter personnel and people from Life Saving NSW all joined within the rescue effort. The person was flown to St George Hospital in a steady situation.
