Man needed over deadly Qld stabbing charged after handing himself in


Detectives have charged a 24-year-old Ingham man with homicide three days after an alleged road assault within the north Queensland city.

The person, recognized as Caleb Rutherford, voluntarily handed himself in on the Ingham Police Station on Thursday morning.

Mr Lawson said the man was "accompanied by a number of people" when he walked into the police station about 9am on Thursday.

“That man has since been arrested and charged in relation to the homicide, a breach of home violence offence and in addition a breach of bail offence,” Detective Inspector Chris Lawson advised reporters.
