One individual is lifeless and two others have been hospitalised after a boating incident off Auckland’s Manukau Heads, Auckland, police confirmed.

A spokeswoman stated police have been notified shortly after 9pm and that “preliminary indications counsel the boat overturned”.

These hospitalised had minor accidents.

Police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Hearth and Emergency Providers have been additionally on the scene, a spokeswoman confirmed.

The Manukau Heads are on the northern tip of the Awhitu Peninsula, between the Tasman Sea and Manukau Harbour.
