OPP say they had been known as to a house in Winchester late Saturday night time after a resident reported a house invasion.

The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry provincial police detachment stated Sunday it was investigating after officers had been known as to the house on Victoria Road shortly after 10:00 p.m.

The resident, who was alone in the home, instructed police two males broke into the house, assaulted him and fled with money.

The resident was not critically harm, police stated

The OPP canine unit and forensic identification companies unit are helping with the investigation.

The attackers are described as being white, sporting darkish face coverings, and darkish clothes. One man had darkish hair.
