OUTsurance pointsmen are again on Jozi roads


About 100 OUTsurance pointsmen are again on Johannesburg’s roads after a brand new settlement was reached between Visitors Freeflow, an organization answerable for the deployment of pointsmen, and the Metropolis of Johannesburg.

The pointsmen, popularly generally known as “OUTsurance pointsmen”, have been an inconvenient absence on our roads since September 2019, when a contract between the town and Visitors Freeflow was not renewed.

Town mentioned its resolution to not renew the contract was on account of the Johannesburg metropolitan police division’s (JMPD) upgraded features and the appointment of a further 180 visitors wardens who had been to switch the pointsmen.

When taking workplace in December 2019, mayor Geoff Makhubo directed that the town transfer swiftly to finalise new agreements with the service suppliers on phrases that may assure the companies at zero value to the town and the creation of job alternatives for the lots of of younger people who find themselves skilled to supply these companies.
