Police trying to find suspect who allegedly assaulted, robbed senior in North York


Police are on the lookout for a person who they are saying cornered an aged lady in an elevator in North York after which proceeded to assault and rob her.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at roughly 7:30 a.m. at an unidentified constructing within the space of Yonge Road and Finch Avenue West.

An unknown man approached the 70-year-old lady whereas contained in the constructing and compelled her into an elevator, police mentioned. As soon as inside, police allege the person assaulted the lady and obtained a amount of money from her.

She didn’t maintain any accidents, in line with police.

The suspect is described by police as having a median construct. He was sporting a black toque with a white stripe, black long-sleeve shirt with a white t-shirt over prime, saggy blue denims, a black Nike string bag, and black and white trainers on the time of the alleged incident.

In a news release, police issued a picture of the suspect in hopes of figuring out him.
