Ricardo Barbaro charged with homicide, set to face court docket over dying of Ellie Worth


Former fugitive Ricardo ‘Rick’ Barbaro has been charged with homicide and can face Melbourne Magistrates Court docket on Saturday over the dying of Ellie Worth.

Barbaro was injured throughout a dramatic arrest at a penthouse condo overlooking the Parramatta River in Sydney’s western suburbs on Thursday morning.

“A 33-year-old Southport man who has been charged with homicide and extradited from NSW in relation to the South Melbourne murder investigation, has been held over to seem at Melbourne Magistrates Court docket on Saturday,” Victoria Police mentioned in an announcement.

Barbaro evaded police for 10 days, fleeing to NSW as authorities sought to query him over Ms Worth’s dying. He sustained minor accidents throughout his arrest, believed to be from a collision with a mirror, and was taken to hospital for remedy.

On Friday, Mr Barbaro was pushed in a police prisoner transport car again to Melbourne, and later questioned and charged with homicide.
