Search scaled again for ‘much-loved’ man lacking in Queensland waters

The land, sea and air seek for a person final seen in waters off the central Queensland coast has been scaled again after a second unsuccessful day.

Dysart man Gary Flower, 60, went lacking early Tuesday morning whereas attempting to reach his boat drifting near Conical Rocks, off the coast of Yeppoon.

His household issued a heartfelt thanks to the search and rescue personnel concerned in scouring a 428-square-kilometre space for the “much-loved” man, police stated in an announcement issued on Thursday afternoon.

Water police will resume search efforts on Friday with shoreline and seaside patrols.
