SpaceX capsule with astronauts aboard heads again to Earth


Los Angeles: NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley are headed again to Earth after a two-month mission on the Worldwide House Station, marking the primary time a privately owned craft will return astronauts from the house station to Earth.

The crew departed the house station on Saturday afternoon, US time, aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule, the identical craft that introduced them to house in that vessel’s first crewed flight. After leak checks, the astronauts lowered the visors of their helmets, and a command to undock was despatched to the spacecraft.

Two units of hooks have been disconnected, after which the capsule began to drift slowly away from the house station round 5 minutes later. A number of engine thrusters fired to additional separate the spacecraft from the house station.
