Sydney’s multibillion-dollar CBD gentle rail will open to the general public on December 14 after months of delay.
The sunshine rail, which is able to carry passengers between Round Quay and Randwick, will likely be free to the general public for its opening weekend, based on Premier Gladys Berejiklian.
“The CBD and South East Mild Rail is a giant step in the direction of revitalising our metropolis and can remodel the best way we stay, work and exit in Sydney,” Ms Berejiklian stated.
Initially slated to value $1.6 billion, the sunshine rail undertaking blew out to only below $three billion following delays and issues with Spanish subcontractor Acciona.
