Two critically injured in Lowertown condo hearth



 Two people were seriously injured in a fire in a second floor apartment at 161 Augusta St. in Lowertown Saturday, April 4, 2020.

Two folks had been critically injured in a fireplace in a second flooring condo at 161 Augusta St. in Lowertown Saturday morning.

Ottawa Hearth Providers state it acquired a single 911 name reporting seen flames coming from the second flooring of the highrise constructing.

The Ottawa Paramedic Service stated they had been referred to as to the scene at about eight a.m.

 April 4, 2020 Ottawa Fires Services on the scene of a working fire at 161 Augusta Street in Lowertown.

 

Firefighters rescued a number of occupants from contained in the construction, and a loss stopped was declared by eight:27 a.m. 

A lady with vital burns and a person with attainable airway burns had been transported to the native burn centre.

Crews continued ventilating the location and checking neighbouring items Saturday morning.

A hearth investigator has been dispatched to the scene to find out the trigger.
