Two males have died after they have been swept off rocks at Port Kembla on Friday evening, police say.
Emergency companies have been alerted after three males have been swept into the ocean simply earlier than 7pm on the common rock fishing spot referred to as Hill 60 close to Fishermans Seaside – the same location where three men died three weeks ago.
Lake Illawarra cops, Surf Life Saving NSW crew, Freeway Patrol officers and the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter launched a search-and-rescue operation.
Witnesses helped the rescuers to find the three males, who have been about 25 metres offshore, a NSW Police spokeswoman stated.
Police stated not one of the males have been sporting life jackets. A minimum of two of them had been fishing earlier than they have been swept off the rocks, the spokeswoman stated.
