Two to face courtroom over Nice Japanese Freeway drug haul


Greater than 30kg of illicit medicine have been seized from the cabin of a truck stopped by police at The Lakes on Nice Japanese Freeway.

The medicine have been uncovered on Christmas Eve, with an alleged 19kg of methylamphetamine, 10kg of MDMA and two kilograms of cocaine discovered.

The men are due back in court on Thursday.

The 2 occupants of the truck, a 46-year-old man and a 33-year-old man, have been charged with:
– possession of a trafficable amount of methylamphetamine with intent to promote or provide,
– possession of a prohibited drug with intent to promote or provide (MDMA), and
– Possession of a prohibited drug with intent to promote or provide (cocaine).

Each males have been refused bail and appeared within the Perth Magistrates Courtroom on December 26.
