College apologises for establishing segregated on-line websites

Dearborn: The College of Michigan-Dearborn issued an apology on Wednesday for creating segregated on-line scholar “cafes,” one for white individuals and one other for individuals of color, that it says have been meant to advertise discussions about race and variety.

A press release by the college close to Detroit got here after two digital “cafe” occasions have been held on Tuesday, with one marketed as a “non-POC Cafe” for non-people of color to ”collect and talk about their expertise as college students on campus and as non-POC on this planet.”
