College of Fort Hare scholar dies after stabbing on campus


A College of Fort Hare scholar was stabbed to dying on the Alice campus on Saturday morning.

DispatchLIVE reported that Yonela Boli, 24, a MSc geology scholar, died at Victoria Hospital in Alice.

Jap Cape well being division spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo mentioned Boli had arrived on the hospital at about  4am on Saturday with a 3cm stab wound in his again.

Kupelo mentioned Boli was instantly seen by the physician on responsibility  however died an hour later when he went into cardiac arrest.

UFH director of institutional development Tandi Mapukata mentioned each Boli and the suspect have been registered college students.

Mapukapa mentioned the suspect, a senior scholar and shut buddy of Boli, had been arrested.
