Week-long Vancouver Artwork Gallery strike ending

Putting staff on the Vancouver Artwork Gallery say they’ve voted to successfully finish their strike.

An announcement from the union says members ratified a mediated settlement with administration, which they stated ended the labour motion.

Employees walked off the job on Feb. 5 over wage dispute and what they known as “long-standing scheduling rights.”

“Our members efficiently fought again towards quite a lot of concessions, and received a number of key provisions that can enhance the working circumstances and compensation of Gallery staff at this time, and for years to return,” stated CUPE 15 president Warren Williams in a press release.
