Girl dies, two youngsters survive in south-east Queensland crash

A girl has died and two youngsters have survived after a crash in south-east Queensland.

Police consider a Nissan station wagon was travelling on Beelbi Creek Highway when it left the street and crashed right into a tree at Beelbi Creek, close to Hervey Bay, about 6pm on Sunday.

Consequently, the 39-year-old Burrum City girl who was driving the car died on the scene.

Two youngsters travelling within the car have been taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.
